Probably best known for its OutBank application, stoeger it GmbH has released a general purpose ticker application for S60 devices for use by third-party developers.
The S60TickerSDK allows developers to make use of a general purpose ticker that displays globally on an S60 device. Using a client side API, developers integrate the S60TickerServer into their applications. Then the client application can define a text string or text string and SVG icon to be displayed in the ticker.
Once added a ticker item is displayed for a period defined by the client application or until it is removed from the ticker server by the client application.
Use of the ticker is free for non-commercial developers. Commercial licensing details are available from stoeger it GmbH on request.
